Since its founding in 2013, the social responsibility program, Saber Nutrir, has contributed to improving the quality of life of more than 728 families that are food vulnerable, mainly in the Mazahua area of the State of Mexico and in Tapachula, Chiapas.
Aligned with 3 of the 17 United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, the Saber Nutrir strategy focuses on actions around Zero Hunger, Clean Water and Sanitation, and finally, Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Through the first pillar, productive projects, Saber Nutrir Chile Mobile Number List has contributed to more than 28 communities achieving food self-sufficiency, impacting the nutrition and well-being of more than 2 thousand children. With 322 orchards and 300 farms installed, the families in the program produce enough food for family consumption and products for marketing.
Adding to this, the second pillar, safe water, has provided better sanitation conditions through the installation of cisterns to collect rainwater, wells, purifiers and bathrooms with biodigesters. So far, more than 174 rainwater collection cisterns, 169 wells, more than 206 bathrooms with biodigesters and 367 water purifiers have been installed.
Finally, through the marketing pillar , more than 59 marketing projects have been completed, so that families that have larger-scale orchards and farms can generate extra economic income.
With these actions Grupo Herdez , in alliance with the Pro Mazahua Foundation, in the State of Mexico, and ChildFund in Tapachula, Chiapas , reinforces its commitment to Mexican families, providing tools to achieve comprehensive development of the most vulnerable communities.
In addition, Grupo Herdez brands : Barilla, Del Fuerte, Doña María, Herdez and McCormick, support with resources so that this initiative reaches more families.
